My clients is seeking a Private Client Lawyer with a minimum of 5 years PQE for a senior position within the firm's Canterbury office. This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in Wills, Trust Administration, Probate, and Inheritance Tax Planning. STEP accreditation would be an advantage but is not essential. This is a senior role offering excellent progression potential, including the possibility of a Salaried Partnership for the right candidate.

The Private Client team is spread across three offices and consists of 3 partners, 11 fee earners, a trainee solicitor, and a financial advisor. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload, including Wills, Probate, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney.
  • Handle complex estates with both domestic and international tax and property issues.
  • Provide tax planning and inheritance advice, particularly for high-net-worth clients.
  • Support and mentor junior team members and trainees.
  • Participate in business development through networking and marketing activities.
  • Meet clients in the office or via home/hospital visits as needed to draft Wills and discuss estate planning.
