We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our well-established client based in Mid Kent. In this role, you’ll manage stock, improve processes, and lead a team to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Duties include:

  • Develop and put into place stock management strategies for the site.
  • Set up and manage an inventory system to track stock levels accurately.
  • Track and improve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitor warehouse costs and ensure they stay within budget. Keep records of expenses and quotes.
  • Oversee stock control, including rotation, shelf life, and warehouse space.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Ensure clear communication between the team, suppliers, and other departments.
  • Work with Procurement, Production, and Customer Support to provide the best service.
  • Handle supplier contracts and ensure they meet agreed terms.
  • Address any issues with suppliers or service quality.
  • Look for ways to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all data is up to date.
  • Ensure smooth inventory flow between different teams.
  • Follow company procedures and ensure your team does the same.
  • Lead, motivate, and support the Warehouse team with training and performance reviews.
  • Ensure health and safety rules are followed in the warehouse.
  • Support site projects when needed.

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • Experience working in FMCG or a similar industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide a team.
  • Great communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to adapt to changes and new challenges.
  • A team player who works well with others.
  • Willing to travel to other sites if necessary.
