DCS Engineering are recruiting an operations manager for one of our clients who provides advanced high-precision manufacturing services from centres of excellence internationally. We are seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager to support their Kent Site Director as they are experiencing a significant period of growth. You will meet customer requirements with full accountability for safety, quality, cost, delivery, and our skilled people. Efficiently manage resources including production, maintenance, supply chain and planning. Key areas of focus are driving Customer satisfaction for delivery, quality, and cost by driving continuous improvement in manufacturing complex turned and milled components on 5-axis CNC machines through the continued deployment of modern manufacturing principles.Operations Manager Key Responsibilities:* People Management: Lead and develop a high-performing team to support our growth.* Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.* SQCDP Focus: Ensure excellence in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People metrics.* Objective Setting and Performance Assessment: Set objectives, assess performance, and identify skill gaps.* Business Operations Optimisation: Enhance operations for maximum efficiency.* Best Practices Implementation: Improve operational performance.* Production and Supply Chain Management: Meet customer specifications and delivery timelines.* Production Planning: Coordinate production targets.* Process Improvement: Enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).* Performance Reviews and Analysis: Conduct reviews and manage non-conformance and risk assessments.* Resource Management: Deploy necessary technical skill sets and resources.

Operations Manager Qualifications & Experience:* Significant leadership experience in a machining-manufacturing role.* Aerospace experience. * Background in a plant or manufacturing environment.* Manufacturing/Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications is preferable.* High commercial acumen with P&L understanding, and knowledge of manufacturing, procurement/supply chain, and industry regulations.* Familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning, Kaizen, lean manufacturing, and ERP/MRP systems.
