Job Title: Technical ManagerSalary: £50,000 - £55,000 + car allowance & bonusLocation: KentReference: 3012386Reporting into the Senior Technical Manager, this role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:* Build and maintain proactive relationships with customer Technical Teams and Tier 1 suppliers, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.* Manage and maintain all customer product specifications, Quality Attribute Sheets, and temporary specifications to guarantee accuracy and compliance.* Ensure all products consistently meet food safety and quality standards, swiftly addressing any non-conformances or withdrawal/recall situations with corrective actions.* Investigate customer complaints, pesticide exceedances, and microbiological issues, providing timely resolutions and preventative strategies. * Obtain, review, and maintain supplier due diligence documentation and ensure the Approved Supplier and Variety lists are always up to date.* Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to support sustainability initiatives and ethical sourcing, contributing to continuous improvement.* Monitor and report on customer and technical KPIs, using insights to drive improvements across the supply chain.* Organise and attend supplier site visits, crop walks, and first production runs, ensuring full visibility of the supply process.* Collaborate with Commercial, Procurement, and Innovation teams to strengthen the supply chain, support new product launches, and deliver outstanding customer service.* Assist with benchmarking assessments, analyse data, and drive technical innovation to maintain our competitive edge.About you:* Proven track record in a similar role in food manufacturing or fresh produce is required* Experience facing directly into retailers is required* Own transport and full UK working rights are required (no sponsorship available) If you believe you have the skills and personality to fit these requirements please either apply via this advert or call Henderson Brown on for more information.
