Description

  • Lead accounting for non-fee income streams and manage payroll-related tasks, including monthly salary processing and BACS runs.
  • Act as the main liaison between payroll, finance, and external stakeholders for payroll and pension-related queries.
  • Maintain accurate records of donations, manage restricted funds, and assist with gift aid claims and journal transfers.
  • Prepare monthly financial summaries for fundraising and commercial teams, including payroll-related information.
  • Support the Director of International Projects with budgets, management accounts, and financial reporting for Board meetings.
  • Assist with cashflow and budget forecasting for the subsidiary companies and non-fee income areas.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly financial summaries for all commercial activities and subsidiary companies.
  • Oversee pension re-enrolment, maintain P11D spreadsheet, and ensure compliance with payroll regulations (e.g., PAYE, NICs).
  • Carry out month-end and year-end processes, including P60s, pension fund reporting, and supporting year-end audits.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Bursar and Director of People to implement payroll software changes and keep up with relevant legislation.

Profile

The successful candidate:

  • Must have payroll experience
  • Be happy working in an office environment 5 days per week
  • Finance experience would be advantageous but not essential
  • Must have excellent communication skills
