Reception Teacher

Part-time - MPS/UPS - November 2024

Tradewind are currently working with a Primary School in Rainham, recruiting for a Reception Teacher to start after the October half-term in a long-term cover till the end of December. This will be on a part-time basis and shortlisting is happening now! This role is welcome to both ECTs and experienced Teachers.

This school is a small single form entry Primary school on the outskirts of Rainham and pride themselves on the tight community they have built with the families of the children that attend the school. The school has been graded Good by Ofsted and highlighted the strength of the teaching as well as the comfort that the pupils feel whilst in school. Behaviour is very good too.

The school doesn't have onsite parking, but there is ample parking space close to the school and is accessible via public transport.

The Role

  • Planning and delivering the Primary Curriculum in Reception.
  • Responsibility for ensuring your cohort is supported and challenged appropriately with the work set.
  • Managing behaviour within the classroom effectively
  • Liaising with Parents/Guardians on the progress and/or potential development areas of students

Requirements

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK
  • Experience teaching the UK Primary Curriculum, Reception teaching experience would be highly desirable but not essential.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS (DBS on the update service is highly desirable)
  • Have right to work in the UK
