Are you a Procurement Manager from a manufacturing background seeking a key role in a high-growth SME which has doubled in size in the last 18 months?

On offer is an opportunity to play a crucial role in the businesses ongoing success and growth, where they are seeking a highly motivated, skilled individual to lead the purchasing function within the Operations team. In this role, you will play a key part in determining procurement strategy and developing robust reporting and monitoring systems.

The company is a leading provider of fully integrated power, monitoring, and control systems in the marine, vehicle, and off-grid markets, which combine renewable energy sources with traditional power sources, enabling reduced emissions and improved energy efficiency.

As an experienced procurement professional you will be CIPS Level 5 or above and be management a small team providing strategic planning, performance management and supplier relationships.

The role:

  • Develop a strategic procurement plan that is aligned with the company goals and objectives Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and timely delivery, initiating corrective actions when necessary
  • Produce and analyse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with the Operations Manager
  • Maintain accurate supplier data within the MRP system, with a focus on price consistency and lead times
  • Lead and mentor members of the Supply Chain team, demonstrating best practices and driving continuous improvement

The person:

  • CIPS level 5 or 6 qualified (comparable to a Batchelors degree) or equivalent industry experience
  • Have significant experience in procurement, preferably from within a manufacturing environment (ideally leading a team)
