We are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for a Purchasing Assistant to work on a 12 month fixed term contract, working Monday-Thursday 08.30-17.00 and Friday 08.30-16.00.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of purchase orders and related documents within SAP for purchases of goods, materials and services.

You will have administration experience and if you have worked in a procurement team that is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all purchase orders are acknowledged by suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with suppliers.
  • Maintain SAP to ensure all purchase order data is accurate in line with order acknowledgements and all electronic documents are filed appropriately.
  • Liaise with internal customers to provide status updates on orders

You will be Computer literate, with MS Office skills and ideally have experience of using an MRP system and/or SAP.

In addition to this, you will have excellent communication skills, well organised, self-motivated and a team player.
