Role: Freelance Quantity Surveyor
Location: Surrey
Start Date: Immediately
Rate: £330 - £400 a day depending on experience
My Client are a leading Regional Contractor who specialise in care homes, education, residential and commercial builds and are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a temporary basis.
The successful candidate will be based out of their head office but may be required to travel to site. There is also some flexibility to work from home once you are up to speed with what is required of you.
Duties:
- Reporting into a Managing Surveyor
- Procurement and subcontractor order placement
- Package management across all trades
- Variations, valuations, and payments
- Regular site meetings and reporting
- Liaising with project teams to ensure smooth delivery
Requirements:
- Experience working with a Main Contractor and on projects above £10mil
- Strong procurement and contract management skills
- Ability to manage multiple packages in a complex build environment
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- A minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
