Our client, a design and build contractor specialising in bespoke residential projects, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team based in Kent. They are a family run business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality new build, refurbishment, and extension projects, they provide a seamless service from design through to construction.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of residential developments, managing costs and ensuring projects are delivered on budget and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential construction and a strong understanding of cost control, procurement, and contract management.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor - Role Overview:

Managing project costs from initial estimates to final accounts
Preparing BOQs, cost plans, and tender documents
Procuring materials and subcontractor packages, ensuring cost efficiency
Conducting cost analysis and value engineering to maximise project value
Managing contract variations, valuations, and final accounts
Ensuring all projects comply with budget constraints and financial objectives
Liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers to maintain smooth project progress
Providing regular cost reports and forecasts to senior management

Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor - Requirements:

BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
Previous experience in residential construction (design & build preferred)
Strong knowledge of procurement, cost control, and contract management
Familiarity with JCT and design & build contracts
Excellent numerical, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving license
