Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for Receptionists to join their growing team based in Maidstone, Kent 

The role entails (but is not limited to): 

  • Monitoring the practice appointments system 
  • Taking calls from patients and pharmacies 
  • Dealing with confidential information
  • Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed
  • Dealing with all requests for appointments or visits (both in-person and by Telephone) - ensuring that all requests are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional
  • Dealing with any repeat prescription queries and requests 
  • Filing, scanning, etc. 
  • Dealing with any requests from other members of staff and patients 
  • Liaising with the Ambulance service for any urgent referrals 
  • Escalating any complaints to the Team Leader or Operations Team Manager 
  • Registering new patients, temporary residents and immediately necessary patients 
  • Organising any referrals to District Nurses, Rapid Response when necessary 
  • Taking payments for non NHS services 
  • Ensuring that the reception area is kept clean and tidy 
  • Relaying patients results 

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience: 

  • Previous experience working as an administrator or receptionist within a Healthcare setting would be beneficial 
  • Experience working within admin
  • The ability to follow instructions and processes 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Excellent time management skills 

The rate of pay for this position is £11.50 per hour

Our client is happy for this position to be full time (37.5 hours per week) or part time (30 hours per week).
