Supply Desk are seeking a versatile and passionate English and Drama Teacher available for both short- and long-term supply contracts across secondary schools in Maidstone. One of our partner schools in Maidstone requires an English Teacher who can also teach Drama to join their team immediately, with the position initially running until Christmas. There is the potential for this role to be extended for the ideal candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English and Drama across various Key Stages, delivering engaging and creative lessons.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student confidence and growth.
  • Utilise effective classroom management techniques to foster a productive learning experience.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing meaningful feedback to guide individual improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and engage in school events and extracurricular activities.

Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching both English and Drama.
  • Have strong subject knowledge and be able to inspire students of all abilities.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to the needs of different school environments.
  • Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
