£88 to £90 per day
An inclusive and supportive secondary special school is looking for an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its team. The School:
Complex needs - ASD and Asperger's11 to 19 years old - mixed gender
What We're Looking For- Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
- Strong communication skills, enabling effective engagement with students, staff, families, and external professionals.
- Ability to manage workload efficiently and prioritise tasks effectively.
- A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine commitment to student wellbeing.
- Awareness of local and national support services available to schools and families.
- Knowledge of relevant safeguarding, attendance, and data protection legislation.
Requirements:
- Willingness to travel up to an hour to work.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is advantageous.
- Ability to provide personal care support, including toileting and feeding, as needed.
- Strong communication skills, patience, flexibility, and a positive approach.
- Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and obtain clearances.
- Hold, or be willing to apply for, an enhanced DBS (child workforce) on the update service.
