Senior Trust Fundraising Manager - Prestigious National Charity - Kent / Hybrid - £45k-£55k
We’re on the hunt for an experienced Senior Trust Fundraising Manager, with proven experience in trust fundraising and management,to join a prestigious national charity in their offices in Kent.
Line managing Bid Writers, a Trust Fundraiser and freelancers, the Senior Trust Fundraising Manager will lead on the creation of persuasive grant applications and sponsorship proposals in order to secure over £1m annually for varied revenue projects.
In a nutshell: We’re looking for a successful fundraising professional, ideally with an Institute of Fundraising Certificate/Diploma, who has a proven track record of successful grant, trust or statutory funding applications.
Key responsibilities as the Senior Trust Fundraising Manger will include:
- Proactively manage a team to deliver over £1m annual income
- Managing the annual targets and Trust fundraising workload to ensure all projects are securing funds
- Researching funding opportunities and identifying core services for revenue or capital approaches
- Developing and writing winning applications to charitable trusts, the lottery, statutory funders and funds
- Managing the entire process from research to development of proposals, assessment and grant acceptance
- Arranging meetings with senior Trust stakeholders to secure larger or multi-year commitments
- Networking externally with potential funders, major donors and resources
- Providing regular financial reports and management information
- Ensuring accurate records and information is maintained

What we’re looking for:
- Proven track record of successful grant, trust or statutory funding applications (including 6 figure gifts and multi-year commitments)
- Educated to degree level or equivalent - Institute of Fundraising Certificate/Diploma is highly desirable
- Experience of successfully delivering against financial targets within specified deadlines
- Demonstrable ability to research and identify new trust prospects
- Evidence of ability to make creative approaches e.g. using senior stakeholder relationships or known personal interests
- Experienced in account managing multi-year grants and donations
- Strong understanding of the UK grant making sector
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to establish positive relationships at all levels
- Proven networking skills
- Ability to compile compelling and accessible applications, reports, papers and management information
- IT literate including MS Office, with knowledge of fundraising/CRM databases
