Our client is a Fresh Produce company and is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Controller for their office in either Tonbridge or Lincolnshire. The job purpose will be to acts as a partner to a number of key stakeholders including customers, operational managers and growers to ensure the smooth running of the business. Supporting the company to match customer requirements with operational capability. The role includes a diverse range of contracts and tasks from the planning stage to despatch of goods and is an integral part of the business. The Key Accountabilities:

  • Matching customer requirements with operational capacity, planning business activity, packhouse, warehouse, arrivals in line with the business capacity and customers requirements.
  • Processing orders and releasing stock to production in a timely manner throughout the working day
  • Reviewing orders against forecast and adjusting their forward stock position to ensure maintenance control on a short/medium term basis.
  • Use of customer portals and data to plan their forward requirements, translating this information into weekly grower programmes.
  • Manage Raw material arrivals by means of raising PO's and providing data for customs entries for EU products.
  • Daily Raw material stock reconciliation or stock adjustments.
  • Stock control. Ensuring stock is used on a rotational basis.
  • Assist to identify and resolve all issues in normal operations and manage all communication for all schedule disruption.
  • Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Health, Safety & Well-being Policy, Equal Opportunities, Diversity & Dignity at Work Policy and Hygiene Policy.

It is preferred the successful candidates is from and has working experience in the Fresh Produce industry or Supply Chain. Must have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. The ability to build relationships with customers through good communication and commercial awareness. Problem solving skills to balance customer requirements with operational limitations and, where needed, offer alternative solutions. Be able to pay attention to detail and have analytical ability.
