We're working in partnership with our client, a leading and forward-thinking residential developer, to find a talented and commercially minded Estimator to join their growing Commercial team. In this pivotal role, you'll play a key part in the early stages of residential development projects - preparing full development budgets, cost estimates, and financial models from pre-land acquisition through to final budget approval. You'll collaborate cross-functionally, driving key decisions that impact land acquisition and pre-construction success.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Prepare development budgets, estimates, and cashflows from pre-acquisition through to pre-construction stages.

  • Assess abnormal costs, risks, and opportunities, ensuring these are captured in financial models and cost planning.

  • Collaborate with Planning, Technical, Sales, and Construction teams to review and update specifications and cost assumptions.

  • Create house type cost libraries and feasibility packs to support land appraisals.

  • Update and refine construction budgets through planning and technical evolution.

  • Coordinate the production of final budget packs ahead of project handover to commercial delivery teams.

What Our Client Is Looking For:

  • Experience in a similar Estimator role, ideally within the housebuilding or residential construction sector.

  • Strong working knowledge of Estimating, Surveying, and cost modelling processes.

  • Familiarity with JCT or NEC Contracts.

  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills.

  • A proactive and collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail.
