We are on the lookout for a MEICA Manager to join a Water Treatment Site in the Maidstone Area.

About the Role:


As a MEICA Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation (MEICA) engineering at a Water Treatment Plant. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, manage projects, and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our water treatment assets.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing MEICA strategies aligned with company goals and industry best practices.
  • Managing the complete life cycle of MEICA projects, from initial planning and design to implementation, commissioning, and handover
  • Support all Programme Managers, Operation Leads and Procurement to achieve a MEICA procurement strategy
  • Regularly meet with Regional Delivery Leads to ensure MEICA is being delivered within a consistent and timely manner
  • Leading and motivating a team of MEICA engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
  • Possessing a deep understanding of MEICA systems and equipment used in water treatment plants, including pumps, motors, instrumentation, control systems, and automation technologies
  • Overseeing the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of MEICA systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards
  • Be able to provide progress reports to senior management and stakeholders
  • Chair meetings to demonstrate any risks within MEICA have been reviewed and mitigated
  • Managing the MEICA budget, forecasting expenses, and ensuring efficient resource allocation
  • Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations, industry best practices, and company policies
  • Be fully conversant with all MEICA subcontractor contract conditions as well as any potential risks that are associated with their methodology
  • Take full responsibility that the project has no H&S and Environmental incidents


What we are looking for:

  • A proven track record as a MEICA Manager or similar role within the water treatment industry
  • A strong understanding of MEICA engineering principles, standards, and best practices relevant to the water industry
  • Experience managing complex projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies
  • Knowledge of the construction contract law and forms of contract through experience and training
  • A commitment to safety and quality, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • A valid UK driving license
