Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, highways, drainage, and groundworks.
Analyse project specifications, drawings, and contract documents to determine material, labour, and equipment costs. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates align with project requirements.
Identify potential risks and opportunities in tender submissions.
Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, costs, and best practices.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Civils Estimator.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, materials, and construction methods.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project).
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (preferred).
