The Interim Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in the Accounting & Finance department, driving financial performance, control, and strategic decision-making in the business. Based in Tewkesbury, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the company's growth and development and is suited to someone with an analytical/FP&A background.

Description

The key responsibilities:

  • Oversees or conducts financial activities, including financial analysis and reporting (both for statutory and management reporting), Accounts Payable and Receivable, Inventory and Costs control, budgeting and forecasting
  • Optimises the business/financial flow while ensuring compliance with tax regulations
  • Analyses/drives financial and tax impact of new business opportunities and/or internal reorganisations
  • Provides advice and expertise to managers to help them understand financial reports, develop budgets, enhance financial performance, and manage their financial responsibilities
  • Support strategic decision-making with sound financial insights
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
  • Coordinate with other departments to achieve business objectives
  • Prepare financial reports for senior management
  • Monitor and manage budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Propose and drive implementation of continuous improvement and best practices
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders such as Legal, HR, IT, Insurance, Purchasing, Strategy, Sales, Operations and Mergers and Acquisitions

Profile

The successful candidate:

  • Will either be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE with demonstrable experience
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with experience of budgeting and forecasting from prior positions
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office
