The company

We have a fantastic new HR Assistant role working for a Malmesbury based business.

The role

Reporting into the Senior HR Manager the HR Assistant will be responsible for providing efficient and professional generalist HR support across the HR spectrum as well as owning and supporting key HR projects.

Duties will include:

  • Producing HR documentation including contracts, offer paperwork, starter packs and monitoring probation periods
  • Acting as the first point of contact for employee queries around policies and procedures
  • Supporting the recruitment lifecycle, including advertising roles, assisting with shortlisting and providing interview support on junior roles
  • Organising and assisting with the induction program for new employees
  • Undertaking pre-employment screening including referencing and vetting
  • Coordinating leaver exit interviews
  • Administration of employee benefits
  • Working closely with the inhouse Payroll team to provide the monthly payroll data
  • Acting as HR System Administrator to the HR systems and delivering training to users
  • Supporting the Annual Salary Review and Bonus processes with template Excel spreadsheets, preparing letters and working with the HR Manager throughout the process
  • Offering Employee Relations advice to employees and line managers
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and systems within the team and taking time to implement these
  • Providing support to the HR team on projects and key activities when required
  • Representing HR on the Social Committee and assisting with employee engagement initiatives and offsites

The person

  • Previous experience in a similar HR role is essential.
  • CIPD qualification preferred but not essential.
  • Working knowledge of HR functions and best practice essential
  • HR systems experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised and detail orientated.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Strong IT skills.

The salary
