IT Support Technician - Malton - 32,000 to 35,000

Principal IT are working with a business based in Malton which have offices across the full of the UK and Europe. They are currently on the lookout for an IT Support Technician to join them on a permanent basis.

As part of this role primary point of contact for IT Service within the business, this role involves direct interaction with customers, addressing IT incidents and requests. To be successful in this role they are looking for someone who can adapt to a variety of challenges, your responsibilities on within this role will include working alongside the wider support team's.

Responsibilities:

  • Being part of the on-call rota, weekends and out of hours
  • Spending time both within the factory and the office delivering factory IT support.
  • Setting up Product Codes and producing sample labels ahead of production.
  • Manage the process of change effectively.
  • Be part of the support team maintaining a shift rota and cover to support the business in and out of agreed hours.
  • Work to agreed service-level metrics, including average response time, first-contact resolution rate, mean time to repair and customer satisfaction.

Essential Skills:

  • A huge passion for IT and technology.
  • A strong focus on customer service
  • Excellent knowledge of IT products including Microsoft Windows Server, Virtualisation, Exchange/Office 365
  • Experience of working on your own

This role does require you to work on a shift pattern which is a mixture of early and late starts, but the latest you'd finish is 17:30 and earliest is 06:00 - Which is great for missing that rush hour traffic!
