Job Overview:

Aspion are seeking experienced and reliable HGV Vac Operator’s to join our team in the Midlands. The ideal candidate will have experience working with drainage systems, high-pressure water jetting, and operating vacuum tankers. You will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of HGV tankers and vac systems, providing drainage solutions to clients across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate HGV vacuum tankers for the removal of waste, sludge, and other materials from drainage systems and tanks.
  • Perform high-pressure water jetting for drain cleaning and blockage removal.
  • Conduct site assessments and ensure appropriate equipment and safety procedures are in place.
  • Liaise directly with clients to understand their drainage requirements and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain all equipment to a high standard, ensuring it is in safe working order.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices on site.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and maintenance logs.
  • Manage waste disposal in line with environmental regulations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all paperwork, including job sheets, waste transfer notes, and timesheets.
  • Work efficiently as part of a team or independently, depending on the task at hand.
  • Be prepared to work flexible hours, including occasional nights or weekends, depending on client requirements.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of Class 2 HGV License (Cat C).
  • CSCS Card for high-pressure water jetting certification.
  • Previous experience operating HGV vacuum tankers and/or working with drainage systems.
  • Full UK driving license and own transport (due to location of sites).
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both with clients and internal teams.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with different drainage and vacuum tankers, including jetting equipment.
  • Confined Space certificate



Time and a half after 16.30pm, double time after 21.00pm
Job Type: Full time, basic hours Monday – Friday 07.30 – 16.30
