Your new firmThis is the perfect opportunity to join a strong, independent practice located in Lancaster that has been established for over 40 years. They provide services in all aspects of accounting from bookkeeping and payroll to tax planning and advice to audit and accounts. They have a large client portfolio with local clients along with national presence where you can get exposure to a large portfolio. This accounts semi senior job has arisen due to ongoing growth within the firm.Your new roleYou will be joining a team of accounts professionals who you can learn and develop from daily. Your day-to-day duties will consist of assisting with the preparation of tax returns, gathering and organising financial data, such as income, expenses, deductions, and credits to prepare tax returns accurately and in compliance with up-to-date regulations. Financial statement preparation: The successful candidate will assist the finance team in the preparation of accurate and error-free financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. You will also maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable and general ledgers.What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful in this role you will need to have prior experience within an accountancy practice in a similar role, at minimum one year's worth. You will need to have had experience with tax returns, preparing financial statements along with having knowledge of tax laws and regulations; prior bookkeeping experience will also be required of you.
