Your new companyA well-renowned accountancy practice based in Manchester City Centre are looking to appoint a newly Qualified Accounts Senior to their growing Accountancy Services team. This firm specialises predominately in tax, audit, accounts, assurance, and transaction services. This is the perfect opportunity to join a firm that gives you exposure to a wide variety of clients, including OMBs, HNWI's, professional investors and more. With plans to extend their success and their constant internal growth, this is an exciting opportunity to join a firm that offers great training and progression schemes in the heart of Manchester. Your new roleWorking alongside the team Manager, you will join the Accountancy Services team, which has a spread of experience from trainee through to qualified. You will be exposed to a number of professionals to both learn and grow from, whilst reporting to the director of Accountancy Services. You will be preparing and reviewing management and statutory accounts, completing VAT returns and bookkeeping duties, as well as any ad hoc financial tasks that your client may require. You will support the Manager and Director of Accountancy Services to help support and train juniors, as well as review their work. You will also work with clients to create and maintain relationships and liaise and assist with them daily to ensure their success, whilst identifying new opportunities to potentially cross-sell other services within the firm.In time, you will be able to take ownership of your own portfolio as you progress within the team and firm. What you'll need to succeedIn order to succeed in this role, you must have prior experience within an accountancy practice, whilst being a newly qualified ACCA or ACA accountant. You must also have experience with accounts software such as Xero, Sage or Quickbooks. You must also be able to work independently, without supervision, and be confident in dealing with client queries and taking ownership of work. You will have a high attention to detail, a strong analytical approach to detail, be proactive, and performance driven, as client service is at the heart of what they do.
