Your new firmYou will be joining a well-established and long-lasting, independent practice, located in Bolton. With over 50 years of expertise and experience, they specialise in services ranging from bookkeeping, accounts and VAT, to payroll, business advisory and tax, providing these services to a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors, including sole traders, Limited Companies and Partnerships and more. This is the perfect opportunity for you to further your career in accounts and lead a team of other accounts professionals and manage your own portfolio. This accounts senior opportunity has arisen due to ongoing internal growth within the firm. Your new roleYou will be supervising a team of other accountants at all levels, from trainees to semi-seniors, whilst managing a portfolio of clients. Day to day duties will cover leading this team and portfolio whilst also preparing and filing annual accounts, tax returns, and VAT returns. You will also be providing advice to clients daily in terms of accounts and tax. Maintaining relationships with current clients whilst forming new relationships with clients will also be a role you will complete. Other duties consist of supporting the partners and managers with business development activities and liaising with clients and HMRC on accounting and tax matters. What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will need to be either a qualified ACCA or ACA professional or be QBE, along with a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within practice will also be required. Software knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, Sage and Quickbooks will be expected and strong knowledge of Uk accounting regulations will be required. Other requirements would consist of being able to work independently and also as a team, assisting juniors daily.What you'll get in returnIn return, you will be offered a competitive salary, ranging between £29,000 to £35,000, dependent on experience.
