Assistant Management Accountant

Manchester/Central - Hybrid

Up to £36,000 + study support

This is an awesome chance to work in the heart of Manchester, within the property industry, where you'll be a key support to the Finance Manager. You'll be helping out with month-end tasks to keep everything running smoothly and accurately. It's a perfect role to put your experience to work while gaining more exposure to Management Accounts. What You'll Be Doing:

  • Processing external purchase invoices for different companies, including handling invoices through various channels and entering them into Xero.
  • Updating the daily cash book in Xero, covering purchase ledger payments, sales receipts, and other transactions.
  • Making supplier payments via the bank portal.
  • Reconciling supplier statements.
  • Communicating with suppliers to sort out any payment-related questions.
  • Sending remittance advice to suppliers.
  • Managing the sales ledger: this includes creating and sending customer invoices, sending customer statements, chasing overdue payments, and keeping on top of the debtor's ledger.
  • Handling inter-company invoicing.
  • Working with the internal team to make sure sales invoices are sent out on time and in line with agreements.
  • Managing recharge invoicing - making sure third-party costs are tracked, reported, and billed back to clients, often liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Updating the daily cash book mid-week.
  • Helping with the preparation of management accounts for each business unit.
  • Assisting in putting together annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
  • Updating actuals in cash flow forecasts.
  • Taking care of various ad-hoc admin tasks.
