Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to support their Financial Controller with transactional processes required before the preparation of monthly accounts. This role will be an initial temporary period of 4-6 months with the potential to turn permanent due to a department re structure. You will be based out of their Newton Heath office which has excellent links to main roads and public transport.
What you'll do:
As an Assistant Management Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive support to the Financial Controller. You'll handle various transactional processes, including cash book reconciliation, processing of expenses, and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the fixed asset register and assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end audit.

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Management Accountant role is someone who can confidently manage their own workload while meeting set deadlines. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to professionally liaise with individuals across various platforms. A keen eye for detail and precision is essential in this role, along with excellent organisational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required. Experience with financial accounting systems will be beneficial.
