Your new firmYour new firm are a well known, respected and award-winning firm of chartered accountants with offices across Lancashire and Greater Manchester. Due to continued growth in their audit & advisory function, they are now looking to bring in a confident audit professional to bolster their current offering as an Audit Semi Senior. Your new roleAs an Audit Semi Senior, you will form a key part of the audit function, primarily servicing a range of large corporate clients and business owners, with 75% of the role being made up of statutory audits and examinations of charities and solicitors and the remaining 25% consisting of advisory / accounting services. On audit assignments you will work alongside a senior with responsibility for undertaking fieldwork and involvement in planning the audit process. As your experience grows on smaller audits, you will then also get involved in taking on large audits delivering work alongside Managers and Senior Managers.What you'll need to succeedThe firm are seeking a practice-trained individual who has gained some exposure to audit work along with good accounting knowledge. The successful individual is ideally AAT qualified or has started their ACA / ACCA studies. However, if you have no qualifications but do have experience auditing, you will be considered. They are also seeking a personable individual who is keen to develop and grow their skills and role within the accountancy sector and is committed to furthering their professional development.
