A leading Top 20 Firm with an office in Manchester, is looking for an Audit Senior to join their growing team within corporate audit where you will deliver quality service to a high-profile portfolio of clients. You will work with a variety of corporate and owner managed businesses, charities and other not for profit organisations. The salaary on offer is between £40,000 - £44,000, with discrtionary bonuses and 2 salary reviews per year.

You will have the opportunity to develop your experience and responsible for the delivery of client-based assignments, ensuring the teams audit work and reporting is of high quality.

Responsibilities: As an Audit Senior, you will…

  • Act as first point of contact for clients on a day-to-day basis
  • Produce work for Manager and/or Partner review
  • Have primary responsibility for monitoring progress against budget
  • Coach junior members of staff through sharing knowledge
  • Assist in the planning, execution and finalisation of all areas of the audit assignment for manager or partner review

Requirements: As an Audit Senior, you will need…

  • Qualified ACA or ACCA or equivalent
  • Solid understanding and application of UKGAAP accounting fundamentals and applications; proficient in basic technical techniques (valuations, modelling, spreadsheets)
  • Demonstration of the ability to effectively manage the audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters
  • Previous experience of carrying out assurance related tasks within a professional services firm
  • Proven experience in a client facing role
