The Commercial Controller will play a key role in supporting regional commercial teams across EMEA, providing valuable insights on financial performance to drive better decision-making, optimize revenue, and enhance margin management.

The Role

In this pivotal role, you will act as a finance business partner to the regional commercial teams, assisting with performance reporting, revenue and margin analysis, and the budgeting and forecasting process. You will help ensure that financial goals align with the company's broader objectives, enabling the business to scale and perform more efficiently across multiple regions.

Collaborating closely with both the finance and commercial teams, you'll provide critical insights that support strategic decision-making and drive performance improvements. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a direct impact on the company's financial operations and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Finance Business Partner for regional sales teams, offering support and analysis for regular and ad hoc reporting focused on revenue, margins, and performance.
  • Guide the creation and management of projects within the company's organisational software, ensuring financial alignment and accuracy.
  • Monitor regional commercial team KPIs, identifying trends and areas for improvement to optimise performance.
  • Contribute to the EMEA budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring financial targets are met and align with business objectives.
  • Update and manage regular financial reporting cycles, including Revenue Recognition, Revenue Forecasting, and Gross Contribution (P&L).
  • Oversee the weekly reporting process, ensuring all financial data complies with internal controls and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting requirements, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing necessary data and supporting documentation.
  • Promote best practices in financial governance, internal controls, and compliance within the organisation.

What We're Looking For

  • ACCA / CIMA Qualifications
  • Strong background in commercial finance or accounting, ideally within a professional services or consultancy environment.
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, with a deep understanding of performance analysis.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and networks within the business, influencing key decision-makers to drive results.
