Job Title: Costs DraftspersonLocation: Manchester, UKJob Type: Full-time, 39.5 hrsSalary: £30,000 to £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience Role: We are seeking a skilled Costs Draftsperson to join our client’s esteemed costs department. This role will involve supporting senior case handlers by preparing formal bills and supplementary documents for detailed assessment across fast-track and multi-track cases. Responsibilities:

Drafting formal bills for inter partes detailed assessment.
Preparing N260 statements of costs and risk assessments.
Completing Precedent S and Q documents and initiating Detailed Assessment proceedings.
Investigating disbursement liabilities and maintaining accurate client ledger information.
Working to WIP targets and adhering to deadlines set by supervisors.

Person Specification:

2 to 10 years' experience in costs drafting within claimant personal injury sector.
Legal qualification (LLB, GDL, LPC) desirable.
Proficient in drafting Precedent H, R, and Q, and finalising bills in Multi Track and budgeted cases.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with Civil Procedures Rules and Detailed Assessment process.
Experience with Proclaim Case Management System and Costs Master software preferred.
Ability to work independently and under pressure in a dynamic team environment.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

Competitive salary (£30,000 to £50,000) based on experience.
Standard hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm, Friday 8:30am-5pm.
3/2 hybrid working pattern post probation.
23 days holiday (rising to 26) plus public/bank holidays.
