Overview of the Role:

The financial accountant is in charge of overseeing the financial accounting function, which includes creating financial statements, conducting audits, balancing accounts, and making sure that accounting standards are followed. Within this position the correct candidate will be a member of a team that oversees financial compliance and corporate governance, which includes all accounting, taxation, statistics, and other regulations.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Key internal contact and manager for the annual financial audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and draft statutory accounts.
  • Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.

Key Skills Include:
