Robertson Bell is partnering with this dynamic organisation as they go to market for a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. This role will play a pivotal role in ensuring grants are processed and will have a direct impact in ensuring meaningful causes receive critical funding.
In this role, you will:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including reviewing and processing payments and liaising with relevant parties.
- Prepare and send monthly reports to purpose-driven organisations, including journal uploads and reconciliations.
- Oversee the fixed assets register, reviewing and managing asset data, and completing monthly reconciliations.
- Support year-end audit processes, working with policy colleagues and managing accounts preparation with a high level of autonomy.
- Engage with new system implementation projects, ensuring data transfer and code functionality, and identify areas for reporting efficiency.
Based in Manchester, you will be required to attend their offices three days per week. You will also benefit from an employer pension contribution over 20% and an above market-norm annual leave allowance.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a fully qualified accountant (CCAB or CIMA) with a background in financial accounting or audit, eager to learn and step into a broader role.
- Be process-driven, with strong attention to detail and a desire to gain exposure in fixed assets management.
- Come from a public sector, practice, or commercial background.
- Be motivated, adaptable, and capable of working both autonomously and collaboratively.
