Robertson Bell is excited to be partnering with this established organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. This role will give you the chance to contribute directly to meaningful work, from supporting major group accounts to managing high-value loan portfolios.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the preparation of group accounts, working closely with senior leaders and policy teams to ensure accurate, compliant reporting.
  • Manage financial processes for several subsidiaries, including conducting thorough reviews and checks of financial information.
  • Create and format sets of accounts, assist with audit queries, and ensure that financial submissions are complete and accurate.
  • Take a hands-on approach to managing loans, working with complex financial models, monitoring repayments, and handling loan re-profiling requests.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and support high-profile financial work, including engagement with Auditors and year-end reviews.

Based in Manchester, you will need to attend the office three days a week. In addition, you will enjoy a pension contribution of over 20% and a generous annual leave allowance that exceeds the market average.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified accountant (CCAB or CIMA), eager to work on complex projects and develop new skills.
  • Ideally, bring experience in financial accounting, audit, or financial modelling.
  • Have a keen eye for detail and a process-driven mindset, with a willingness to develop their knowledge in loan management.
  • Be highly motivated, adaptable, and confident working both independently and collaboratively.
