My client is a government body based in Manchester. Due to internal promotions they are recruiting two fixed term contracts on an initial 2 year basis but these are permanent positions and will be required in the long-term. This is an excellent opportunity with an interesting government body who can offer fantastic scope for development and progression.
As a Financial Accountant you will provide technical accounting and budgeting advice on certain areas of the departments finances, liaising with key stakeholders effectively to align them with the finance function, review and prepare journals as well as perform complex balance sheet reconciliations, produce year end accounts and financial statements, as well as liaising with external auditors. You will also get involved with adhoc group work such as producing group accounts and maintaining fixed assets.
This role will suit a qualified accountant coming from a financial accounting background, whether this be from an accounting practice or industry. You will also be a confident communicator in order to build relationships with key stakeholders effectively.
The salary on offer is paying up to £50,000 dependant on experience and qualification as well as a brilliant benefits package that includes hybrid working, generous holidays and a pension that is second to none.
