Robert Half is partnering with a rapidly expanding global company based in Manchester to find a Financial Controller. In this key position, you will lead a finance team with a focus on financial reporting and play a crucial role in the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee monthly financial reporting, including the consolidation of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and working capital.
  • Coordinate and manage the annual budgeting process within established timelines, reporting on financial KPIs.
  • Lead and develop a dynamic finance team, focusing on financial reporting, accounts, and transactional functions to align with business growth.
  • Take ownership of finance systems, identifying and implementing process improvements for efficiency within the department.
  • Manage the year-end audit process, preparing statutory reporting packs and liaising with external auditors.
  • Collaborate with the senior finance team on complex accounting issues, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and effective risk management.
  • Recommend strategic changes to drive business improvements and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and maintain a robust control environment, including overseeing intercompany processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage cash flow and working capital, including 13-week cash flow forecasts and addressing currency needs. Provide ad-hoc support for tax matters.

Candidate Requirements:

  • ACA qualified with a minimum of 3 years PQE; ACCA/CIMA will also be considered.
  • Proven experience managing a finance team effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Audit experience, including year-end management and statutory reporting.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, demonstrate resilience, and communicate confidently.
