Following our continued expansion, we have recently opened new offices in Pasadena, California, and are seeking a skilled Financial Controller / Manager to join our dynamic team in Manchester.
As the Financial Controller / Manager, you will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for all financial control and accounting aspects. This includes general ledger, cost accounting, cash management, accounts payable/receivable, credit control, fixed assets, and payroll. You will play a crucial role in the operational accounting and long-term financial planning of the organization, supporting our global growth through strategic financial leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to the CEO on strategic projects including revenue growth, cost control, profit optimization, and process improvements.
- Oversee daily accounting and finance functions, ensuring efficiency and eliminating non-value-added activities.
- Manage and review monthly closing activities and financial reporting for internal management.
- Ensure compliance with all company and regulatory requirements through meticulous attention to detail.
- Provide strategic data interpretation and problem-solving in a dynamic sales environment.
- Maintain internal controls over financial reporting and liaise on financial statements.
- Support global projects and analyses as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or a related business field.
- Extensive accounting and finance experience, preferably in a service-led organization.
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software (or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong analytical abilities, documentation skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in lean business support principles and intercompany accounting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- High ethical standards and the ability to maintain objectivity across all levels of the organization.
