Role Overview

The Financial Controller will oversee the companys financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. A key focus will be on mastering our general ledger and aligning divisional figures on our ERP system (Intact) with the P&L. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the management team with actionable insights and ensuring compliance with financial policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and oversee the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely entries.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present divisional and consolidated financial reports, ensuring figures on Intact align with the P&L.
  • ERP System Utilization: Utilize the Intact ERP system to streamline financial processes and ensure data accuracy.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing detailed variance analysis.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency.
  • Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards and coordinate with external auditors as required.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with divisional managers to analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations.
Requirements
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in a financial management or accounting role, preferably within manufacturing or textiles.
  • Qualifications:
    • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is essential.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of general ledger management and financial reporting.
    • Experience with ERP systems, particularly Intact, is highly desirable.
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
    • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
