Role OverviewThe Financial Controller will oversee the companys financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. A key focus will be on mastering our general ledger and aligning divisional figures on our ERP system (Intact) with the P&L. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the management team with actionable insights and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
Key Responsibilities- General Ledger Management: Maintain and oversee the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely entries.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present divisional and consolidated financial reports, ensuring figures on Intact align with the P&L.
- ERP System Utilization: Utilize the Intact ERP system to streamline financial processes and ensure data accuracy.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing detailed variance analysis.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency.
- Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards and coordinate with external auditors as required.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with divisional managers to analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in a financial management or accounting role, preferably within manufacturing or textiles.
- Qualifications:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is essential.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of general ledger management and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly Intact, is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
