Financial Planning & Reporting Manager

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Location of Role: Hybrid

  • On-site: 1 Angel Square, Manchester
  • Remote: 1-2 days on-site per week, team day on Thursdays

Working Arrangement: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)

Rate: Weekly, £400 per day

Role Overview: The Financial Planning & Reporting Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the company's financial reporting framework. Reporting directly to senior executives, the individual will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis to drive informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weekly KPI reporting
  • Managing monthly reporting cycles
  • Preparing executive-level reports and board-level financial summaries
  • Ensuring alignment with established reporting structures and adapting swiftly to current frameworks
  • Supporting SAP system user testing in January 2024
  • Collaborating across departments, including finance, operations, and IT, to ensure comprehensive reporting and planning

Key Challenges:

  • Adapting quickly to established reporting frameworks
  • Managing reporting during the ongoing team restructure
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet tight deadlines

Person Profile:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in financial planning and reporting
  • Strong background in retail or service industries
  • Expertise in SAP (highly desirable)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint essential)
  • Results-driven and data-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
  • Strong communication and influencing skills

Skills Required (Essential):

  • Qualified Accountant with significant experience in financial planning and reporting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong understanding of executive-level reporting and KPI management

Desirable:

  • SAP system experience
  • Retail or services industry background
