Your new company An exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Financial Controller to join a leading bank based in the heart of Manchester City Centre. With a global presence and a solid reputation, they provide a wide range of financial and banking services and solutions for their clients. As part of their continuous growth, they are now looking for a talented Financial Controller to join their team of excellence in Manchester.

Your new roleIn this role, you will develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information and compliance with relevant regulations. You will drive process improvement and enhance financial control, and develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls. You will be tasked with maintaining large, complex ledgers and journal management and leading and managing a small team responsible for processes and finance systems. You will ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS09 policies) and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.What you'll need to succeedYou will be suitably qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with proficiency in accounting. You'll have worked in a large multinational organisation, with substantial experience in a financial services environment. To succeed in this role, you will be experienced at leading, motivating and directing a small team, have knowledge and experience in interlinked financial systems and accounting procedures, have experience of implementing business processes and procedural changes in a complex business environment with the ability to prioritise and manage conflicting operational and strategic demands.What you'll get in returnThe assignment will pay an attractive annual salary of up to £65k in a 2 days a week in office hybrid role.
