VisionFR are delighted to be working with this exciting, very successful and growing Creative Agency who are now seeking a fab SeniorManagement Accountant to produce accuratemanagement information, manage the client revenue & WIP, and oversee the finance assistant.

The agency works with some great blue chip clients and is a collaborative place to work - they all attend the office 4 days a week with 1 day working from home - this is important for retaining and building on the culture of the agency. There are good benefits on offer and the team is great.

As a Senior Management Accountant within the Finance team, you will play a crucial role in the agency's next phase of growth. You will be a part-qualified or qualified accountant who possesses strong technical ability and keen commercial awareness.

Job Purpose

Provide robust, accurate and consistent financial reporting for the agency. Implement & drive changes that will improve the financial reporting and visualisation of data to stakeholders within the agency ensuring all decision-making is informed and with reliable data. To be the key person to monitor, educate and train other hubs with their commercial responsibilities.

Main Responsibilities and Activities

  • Compile the monthly management accounts & manage the reporting process
  • Carry out constant improvements of current reporting models
  • Responsible for the complete maintenance of the balance sheet, including technical accounting reviews &interrogation of historic balances
  • Management and leadership of Accounts Assistant overseeing responsibility of Purchase ledger (expenses, supplier payments, supplier account reconciliation, credit cards) and Sales Ledger (monthly billing, client account reconciliation, credit control)
  • Review and monitoring of compliance matters, specifically HMRC related matters. This is not limited to the filing of VAT returns, but also covers regular monitoring of amounts outstanding and liaising with HMRC on the allocation of payments and reconciliation of accounts
  • Constant review & improvement of finance processes and procedures
  • Maintenance of the accounting system including month-end and year-end close
  • Responsible for the training and development of accounts assistant
  • Commercial reporting and guidance to client services/ project managers on all projects within our ERP system
  • Compilation of board packs
  • Maintenance of budget/forecast models
  • Monitor weekly cash flows and prepare cash flow forecast
  • Cost rates calculation and system update
  • Ad-hoc financial modelling and analysis
  • Governance of financial process

Skills Experience Must have:

  • Min 3 years experience in an Accountant role
  • CIMA qualified accountant (or part qualified)
  • Good people skills and ability to communicate financial narratives to none financial /technical stakeholders
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Professional and work with integrity
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Able to lead a team & provide training to junior staff
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative & prioritise workload
  • Strong decision-making & problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills
