Client Details
My client are a well established Retail business that are based just outside of Manchester city centre. Currently turning over circa £220 million, they have a large e-commerce presence and are a highly profitable business. They have a strong track record of developing careers and hiring high calibre Accountants into their Finance team.
Description
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Responsible for the production of monthly management accounts

Ensure all month end cost journals are calculated and processed accurately and on a timely basis for key account lines in the P&L

Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis, investigate and resolve any variances on a timely basis

Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts

Develop strong working relationships with all areas of the business

Assist in year-end audit

Adhere to reporting deadlines

Assist with departmental and wider business projects
Profile
- The ideal candidate will be qualified (ACA or CIMA preference) and have experience working as a Management Accountant or in a similar technical accounting role. This role would suit someone who is making a 1st time move from practice where you have been involved in the production of management accounts
- Ideally, my client are looking for someone from a retail background or a sector such as FMCG/ Manufacturing. That being said, applications will be considered from other transferable sectors
- Experience of Microsoft Navision or Business Central preferable
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all outputs
- Excellent excel skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- Exceptional communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Proactive and resilient self-starter, a team player, passionate and motivated with the ability to inspire others around them.
