Management Accountant (6-Month Assignment)

£40,000 - £50,000

Manchester - On-Site

My client is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join for a six-month role. Operating across EMEA, you'll help improve month-end processes, drive efficiencies, and support financial and operational teams.

Purpose:

  • Provide comprehensive accounting services.
  • Support knowledge sharing within the finance team.
  • Help achieve accurate and timely month-end reporting (target: D4 close).
  • Prepare and analyse for the upcoming audit.
  • Act as a key liaison with external auditors.
  • Streamline intra company processes to agree balances by D2.
  • Resolve legacy reconciliations and improve workflows.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with compliance (VAT, Tax, PAYE) and enhance internal controls.
  • Lead initiatives to optimise cashflow and working capital.
  • Develop accurate cashflow forecasts and monitor trends.
  • Improve finance tools for streamlined data use.

Essentials:

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA).
  • Attention to detail and a proactive mindset to challenge norms.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
  • Experience in cash management and manufacturing/processing environments.
  • Team player with mentoring and collaboration skills.
