Seeking a diligent Senior Internal Auditor with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of the Energy & Natural Resources sector. The candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our accounting and finance department's operations.

Description

The Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Delivering internal audits and ad-hoc tasks in timely and high-quality manner. Identify risks and assess controls recommending effective actions to address control gaps
  • Track and verify the quality of implementation of audit actions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with process owners, gaining insights into operations and communicating initial findings and recommendations
  • Offer expert guidance to the business on enhancing risk management, internal controls and processes based on the sound commercial knowledge and best practices
  • Contribute to audit planning by conducting preliminary risk assessments, understanding process flows, and identifying key areas to test
  • Prepare clear and concise audit reports providing actionable insights to facilitate decision-making and enhance governance. Agree audit findings and recommendations with stakeholders

Profile

Experience

  • Experience with auditing within Energy sector, covering Gas/Power/LNG trading processes in Front, Middle or Back offices
  • Proven track record in audit, project management, consultancy or equivalent
  • CIA, CISA, ACCA or equivalent certification
  • Stakeholder management experience

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical thinking, good conceptual and problem-solving skills, particularly in regard to assessing the probability and impact of an internal control weakness
  • Understanding of and preferably experience of auditing ITGCs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills to present complex and sensitive issues to senior management and influence change
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders and develop good understanding of business processes
  • Curiosity, exploratory urge, and interest in continuous self-improvement
