They are seeking a Service Charge Accountant to join their close team in Manchester, working on a commercial portfolio with their key legacy clients. The role involves overseeing all finance processes for the commercial properties under remit. The company promotes a social and progressive work culture, offering hybrid working (3 days in-office, 2 days WFH), with hours from 9 am - 5:30 pm. 25 days holiday + bank holidays included.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage service charge processes in line with RICS standards and lease agreements
- Perform full trial balance reconciliations and address discrepancies
- Deliver accurate and timely client reports
- Collaborate with the surveying team on leasing, rent, and service charge matters
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Adapt to support other team functions as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Service Charge Accountant in the real estate industry
- Proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to accurately post double-entry journals
- Strong attention to detail
- Clear communication skills (verbal and written)
