Client Details

My client are an international, American owned manufacturing business who combine science and technology to design innovative equipment that really makes a difference.

The Finance and Accounting department, headquartered from South Manchester, is instrumental in supporting their business with the information it needs to make strategic decisions enabling them to do what they do best.

Description

  • Prepare financial statements: Act as the overall lead of the preparation of the extended trial balance for each set of statutory financial statements.
  • Liaise with auditors: Ensure the successful delivery of the external audits & developing a strong relationship with the audit teams.
  • Prepare journals: Work closely with the General Ledger team and external advisors in the preparation of statutory accounts
  • Present: Preparation of technical accounting papers to explain accounting judgements to key stakeholders
  • Teamwork: Supporting the General Ledger team on ad-hoc regulatory reporting queries, and working with the wider team to offer support and guidance.
  • Prepare analytical reviews: Prepare analytical reviews for the income statement and balance sheet.
  • Advising on changes in accounting standards and the business impact.

Profile

  • Qualified Accountant (Ideally ACA but will consider ACCA).
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience post-qualification.
  • Experience in a practice environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering results under tight deadlines.
  • Proactive and willing to challenge and improve existing processes and controls.
