Axon Moore is delighted to be exclusively working on an outstanding opportunity for an individual looking to be exposed to the different sides of finance whilst studying towards ACCA / CIMA. Placing an individual previously within this role who has progressed up - I can vouch for the teams support and environment. This role will provide an initial 9 months in Financial Reporting, then switching to 9 months in FP&A. Whilst being given full study support, you will also receive a bonus for each exam passed!!The ideal candidate will have minimum 12 months experience within a finance position, competent on Excel and be a hard working individual. Location: Central Manchester Salary: £26,000 – £27,000Main duties to give a flavour of the role:
  • Posting purchase invoices into Sage and obtaining relevant authorisation
  • Posting partner expense claims into Sage
  • Resolution of purchase ledger quiries 
  • Setting up weekly payment run
  • Daily bank reconciliation
  • Monthly credit card statements
  • Ad hoc queries
Moving on to –
  • Perform weekly sales, marketing, and business planning forecasts to align with organisational goals.
  • Provide weekly P&L forecasts to monitor and assess financial performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights and recommendations for informed decision-making.
  • Conduct strategic analysis and build financial models to support long-term planning initiatives.
  • Analyse business processes and financial data to uncover opportunities for value enhancement and operational improvements.
  • Financial assessment of new partner opportunities and assist the management in investment decisions
  • Prepare accurate and timely commission statements for partners
  • Ensure all commercial data is up to date and accurately reflected in the systems
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration
Person specification:
  • A minimum of 12 months experience within a finance position, looking to progress in your career
  • An enthusiastic and focused person with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • A driven individual with the desire to learn and understand the business and help solve problems.
  • Confident and approachable manner and able to converse with senior management.
  • Excel skills
