As an Assistant Accountant within ClearCourse's Shared Service Centre you will be supporting several of our portfolio businesses with all parts of the month end process. You will be a commercial business partner – working with and supporting senior leaders with all things finance. As part of our established shared service centre, you will have open access to our senior finance team who will impart their knowledge on you, giving you huge opportunity to grow your understanding and progress your career.

What you will you need to be able to do the job?

Part qualified accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
Good understanding of accounting principles and concepts
Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
Ability to present information to management in a clear and concise manner
Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders

What are the key accountabilities for this role?

Performing R2R activities for applicable entities according to ClearCourse standard procedures
Performing the monthly accounting close in line with the standard Group close calendar and ClearCourse governance
Preparation of bi-weekly cash flow forecasts for review by senior R2R accountant
Liaise cross functionally with other SSC teams and with business leaders to understand the business, its transactions and how it has performed
Manage reporting for various portfolio businesses concurrently
