Page Personnel are recruiting for a permanent Junior Assistant Accountant on behalf of a growing utility business based in Stretford.

This role will work directly with the Finance Director and is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional in the early stages of their career looking for a role in which they can progress towards management accounts with study support.

Description

Assistant Accountant duties will include:

Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting pack, including variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
Be a point of contact and provide day to day finance support to the business.
Embrace and implement process improvement for the finances of this entity.
Support the Finance team with:
HMRC returns (VAT, CIS, P11ds etc)
Banking and Treasury Management
Preparation of Bank and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Maintenance of Fixed Assets and calculation of Depreciation
Assist with Credit Control including review of Aged Debt and Cash Flow Reporting
Support Payroll with processing, controls and transacting payments
Purchase ledger invoice processing and payments as support for accounts payable team.
Develop key business relationships across the group to ensure relevant financial information and commentary is consolidated and reported to management

Profile

The successful candidate will:

Be studying AAT / ACA / ACCA / CIMA
Have a proven track record in a finance role
Be an excellent written and verbal communicator
Be proficient in MS Office
Have a high degree of attention to detail
