Due to expansion, they’re seeking to recruit a Business Support Manager,  paying up to £37,500 to be based from their offices in Central Manchester, where there is a hybrid working policy in place.
As Business Support Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth business operations and compliance within our client’s innovative organisation. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will oversee administrative, operational, and recruitment functions while driving process improvements and supporting company growth. This dynamic role requires flexibility, creativity, and a proactive approach to managing various responsibilities across projects, compliance, and strategic initiatives.
What is expected of the Business Support Manager?
Operational Excellence
- Design, implement, and review processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Research and implement productivity tools, including Otter, Fireflies, and Miro.
- Provide administrative and operational support for both day-to-day activities and high-level projects.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to relevant legislation such as the Employment Rights Bill and EU AI Act.
- Manage health and safety protocols, risk registers, and compliance reviews.
- Draft legal documents like NDAs and monitor vendor payment processes.
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts, from scoping roles to onboarding.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the hiring process.
Strategic Growth and Development
- Conduct horizon scanning for funding opportunities and support bid submissions.
- Seek opportunities for public engagements and partnerships to promote growth.
Stakeholder and Communication Management
- Draft and manage external and internal documents, including reports, presentations, and formal communications.
- Organise stakeholder meetings, preparing agendas, and minuting outcomes.
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical staff to ensure clear communication.

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, law, HR, or a related field—or equivalent industry experience.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in a similar administrative or operational role.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to represent leadership.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Proven experience in recruitment and team management.
